Wedding Planner in Dehradun Who Handles Everything, From Roka to Vidai
Complete wedding planning across the Doon valley — venue, decor, catering, baraat and guest management. 15+ years, one wedding per date.
A Dehradun wedding has its own rhythm. Winter functions where guests want bonfires and kahwa next to the dance floor. Baraats that have to move through Rajpur Road traffic on a Saturday evening. Pahadi relatives who will judge the entire wedding by the dal. After 15 years and several hundred weddings in this city, we plan for all of it — including the parts you have not thought of yet.
What Our Wedding Planning Covers
Venue shortlisting and booking. Banquet halls on GMS Road and Rajpur Road, wedding lawns off Sahastradhara Road, resorts along Mussoorie Road for a hill-view function — we know the real capacity, parking situation and price of most venues in town, and we negotiate as regulars, not one-time customers.
Decor and mandap. From a simple genda-and-fairy-light home haldi to a full themed reception stage. Our decor inventory is our own, so you are not paying a rental markup on every prop.
Catering designed around your guest list, with live counters that keep the buffet queue moving — detailed on its own page.
Baraat and entertainment. Dhol, DJ, band, ghodi coordination, and timing the baraat so it arrives when the venue is ready — not forty minutes of horn-honking at the gate.
Guest logistics. Hotel blocks for outstation guests, pick-and-drop from Dehradun railway station and Jolly Grant airport, welcome kits in rooms.
Day-of management. A coordinator with a minute-by-minute run sheet, so your family members are guests at the wedding — not unpaid staff running around with walkie-talkies.
Every Function, Not Just the Wedding Day
Haldi at home with the courtyard actually protected from turmeric stains. Mehendi in the afternoon with a live chaat counter — golgappa and mehendi is a combination we have never seen fail. Sangeet with proper sound, staging and lights. Wedding day, reception, and a calm, well-organised vidai. Book the full week or individual functions.
What a Wedding Planner Costs in Dehradun
Honest answer: it depends on guest count, venue type, decor scale and the date — saaya dates carry a premium across every vendor in the city. We work two ways: a fixed package for defined scope, or a management fee on the total budget. Either way you get an itemised quote first, and we will tell you plainly which expenses are worth it and which are decoration for the sake of decoration. Families running a wedding on a tight budget get the same attention as big-budget clients — a well-planned modest wedding beats a badly-planned lavish one every time.
Small Weddings Are Still Weddings
A 100–150 guest intimate wedding at home or a small lawn gets full planning too — in fact, small weddings need tighter planning because every detail is visible. If you are keeping it close-family-only, tell us; we will scale everything accordingly.
The Details Guests Remember
Ten years later, nobody remembers the chair covers. They remember the chaat counter where the golgappa wala kept up with three cousins at once, the mocktail bar that kept kids and grandparents equally busy, and the sky shots at the varmala moment — which we arrange through our own Avni Fireworks, with venue permissions sorted in advance.
Dehradun’s Wedding Season: What to Book, and When
October to February is peak season in the Doon valley — pleasant days, cold sparkly evenings, and every good venue in town fighting over the same saaya dates. Work backwards: venue 4–6 months ahead (prime Saturdays on Rajpur Road and GMS Road go first), planner and caterer 3–4 months ahead, decor and entertainment 2 months out, and the smaller pieces — mehendi artist, chaat counter, fireworks — in the final month.
December–January weddings need one budget line outstation planners forget: heating. Bonfires, patio heaters and a covered dinner area are the difference between guests dancing and guests huddling in shawls. And if you are marrying between July and September, you will get genuinely better rates from every vendor in the city — just insist on an indoor backup, because a Doon monsoon does not negotiate.
Questions to Ask Any Wedding Planner (Including Us)
Before you sign with anyone in Dehradun, ask five things. How many weddings are you handling on my date? Will I get an itemised quote or a lump sum? Who exactly is my point of contact on the wedding day? What happens if a vendor cancels at the last minute? And can I see full albums — not Instagram highlights — of two real weddings you have done?
The answers separate planners from coordinators-with-visiting-cards. Ours, for the record: one wedding per date, itemised always, a named coordinator on the ground, backup vendors on standby for every critical service, and yes — full albums, with the client’s permission.
Answers Before You Book
It depends on the scope — full planning, decor-only and day-of coordination are priced very differently, and guest count, venue and date move the number too. We work on either a fixed package or a management fee, always against a written, itemised quote. The quote is free and does not commit you to anything.
One full-management wedding per date per team. Your wedding gets our senior team, not a subcontracted crew you have never met.
Yes. We regularly plan around pre-booked venues and family caterers. We coordinate with them; we do not force replacements.
Yes — Mussoorie Road and Mussoorie resorts are our most-requested destination setups, and we also cover Rishikesh. Being based in Dehradun means no outstation transport charges for the core team.
For an October–February wedding, 3–4 months ahead is ideal. Off-season and weekday weddings can be planned faster. If your date is close, call anyway — we will tell you honestly what is achievable.
